I was so happy when I picked this coat up in an op-shop for a mere $12! I adore the cut and it's perfect for winter layering. I also got my hands on other winter treasure that day so more to come! There's only two weeks left of summer Uni break and holiday plans for winter break are already underway. I'm more than happy to discover warmer climates to make up for this Sydney "summer". Having said that today was gorge! Sat outside till the clouds crept back in. Right now I'm looking forward to future projects and adventures no matter the weather!

I am pleased to present my interpretation of 'White Bohemia' for the new Samantha Wills Style Sessions Bloggers Edit. Not only does this shoot showcase some lovely designs by Samantha Wills but also one of the only sunny days in Sydney this summer!

If you haven't noticed the theme of the shoot is WHITE and I had a lot of fun with this shoot down by the water. So calm and lovely. Little Lamb

Yesterday I spent the day opshopping. I haven't been in so long due to the summer break but I left with some amazing finds that I can't wait to cherish in winter (keep an eye out on the blog!). This lamb design bag was my best pal for the day. It's a great size and fits everything I need. The best thing about Malc&Andi apart from the animal inspired designs is that 5% of sales goes to animal charity. So very sweet. Tonight I'm off on a little road trip. A little needed break. See you on wednesday world!

This is one of my favourite posts I've done on SPIN DIZZY FALL before. Just look at this glass house! I've always loved cacti and desert plants. I may or may not be one of those people that continuously buy and accidentally kill baby cactus plants after leaving them on the windowsill for too long. I thought this Wish dress was perfect for the day with a desert snake-like print of its own. I'm always happy to go the grunge with a pretty dress by adding vintage boots. I had a lot of fun exploring this place while doing this shoot. Cacti can be a fierce, pretty bunch. Here's to more fun posts in the future.

On Friday I had a shoot in Bondi for a future edition of Shop Til You Drop magazine. It's always fun meeting and working with new people and the photographer was very talented so I can't wait to see the shot in print!

Also I wanted to share this sneak peak video of the AW12 collection from one of my favourite labels; Secret Squirrel. If you follow me on twitter you may have noticed that I wore my Botanica Secret Squirrel dress to a wedding yesterday. Let us skip past the rant about this summer rain & chill and focus on how much I love this outfit! In this case, coloured denim is perfect for summer so I bagged these babies in the Market HQ sale and have been wearing them much more often than I suspected. I was over the moon when they arrived because they fit perfectly and are really comfortable. This knit top by Lulu and Rose brings a bit of metallic to the table and not to mention stripes, hello!

These photos were snapped before the heavens opened and now I am snuggled up at home getting ready for a night in with friends, a cold meats & cheese platter along with a good ol 90s flick; The Virgin Suicides. Have a good Australia day to all my national readers! xx

MINKPINK Tea Party

On friday I attended the MINKPINK tea party. The purpose was to announce MinkPink going global with a global advertising campaign this year! (See the new video here - love it). I tweeted a few instagram photos of the amazing spread of food that was organised for the day but here are some photos from behind the scenes when we were taken for a tour through the new office and showroom. I'm now very excited about the new collections and the winter to come. I've already got my eye on some amazing knits plus that moonstone pendant that I had to resist pocketing then and there!

After the event I had tea with some of the loveliest sydney bloggers then went to visit my Dad's building in the city. The last photo is the view from his office everyday, so high it's breath taking! Hope everyone had nice weekends!

These photos were taken on a stunning day at North Avoca beach. My baseball hat is my latest obsession and I can't help but take it to the beach with me too. I've had this belly ring for ages so need a change, thinking of something like this for the new year.

This Lisa Blue cosie is my new favourite for summer as I am always a fan of black and gold. Plus the little whale charm is so sweet! Lisa blue actively supports the protection of our whales & dolphins with a percentage of their net profits going to the Australian Whale Conservation society. So lovely!

While on my coastal holiday I was lovingly kidnapped by locals Jess and Nicole and taken to this fun location and restaurant 'Rojo Rocket' at Avoca. Cups of tea, an afternoon at the beach and quality time with a couple of coastal chicks was just what the doctor ordered. It's now halfway through summer and as my skin grows darker as does my love for white. I've also been converted to flats and finally got my slipper fix with these black beauties. 'The Horse' is a wonderful, wholesome label making leather shoes for both "guys and dolls".

The simplicity of these sandals (named Joan) have me excited for summer afternoons and visiting coastal markets while eating fish and chips. Or maybe that's just what I'm looking forward to but these Joans will be my new companions along the way. I picked up this playsuit via My Clothes Horse at a reduced price. Lovely and simple but still classic for a summers day (or night).

I thought I'd tone down this sequin dress for the BWA Blogger Xmas party with this stylestalker top but it made it even more glitzy which made me love this look even more. Those sleeves make me lose control. I can't wait to wear this shirt with some grunged up denim like it's nobodies business. On the night of the party I got to hang out with Sue-ann, one half of the Stylestalker designer duo, along with a bunch of bloggers (some old favs and some new faces too). So wearing one of her pieces and sitting next to her while wearing it was fun to say the least. Big thanks to Stylestalker! The girls also run a blog themselves (here). During the week me and Luke indulged in a little date day in the city. Whilst there we went and saw the Harry Potter exhibition like good little kids of the 90s.

No photos were allowed inside so these are the only ones.We left with an elder wand pen and a pack of Bertie Botts every flavour beans (for the record the 'rotten egg' bean tastes like feet+death. Do not take willingly!)

I'm going to reveal that I dug out some old J-Lo earrings from the 90s to make this gold choker. Can you believe I wore such big earrings as a young girl that I can fit one around my neck!?! Too easy.

One of the upsides of the Sydney summer being bogus is that we still get to have fun with layers! I thought I'd jazz up this white dress with every trick in the book; denim, lace, studs, mixed metals and a pop of colour. I really like large frills like on this dress, they are always really flattering for anybody.

I couldn't resist doubling up on socks with these frilled pretties by Jonathan Aston. I seem to be wearing socks every day in this weather cause goddamn it you've got to take care of your feet people!

Love switching it up with this skirt by Somdays with the bow at the back for a night! The girls at Market HQ had a similar idea when styling this piece, which puts great focus on the print and I can't say no to a 'party at the back' piece. You're cheeky!

one hundred and one

One being me getting sick and not able to sleep through the night. So right now I'm watching Lords Of Dogtown while slipping in and out of consciousness.

But lets not end this post on a bad note because yesterday I tried out these nail foils by Nail Couture Los Angeles. Usually I have an aversion to pink but after applied these turned out like dark shades of purple. From afar they kind of look like ombre nails! They weren't too hard to apply, it was pretty fun and they haven't peeled yet so it's newly-foiled-thumbs up from me!

It's official! Sydney clouds hate us. It was announced as the 'coldest first week of december in Sydney since 1960'! Really? I want to be at the beach not in my darn tracksuit pants that I pushed under my bed weeks ago!

I was so happy with this little bit of sunshine coming through this lovely tree arch that we took photos before the clouds came back to rain on the parade.

I love my new leather cuff from the young & very talented Carly Paiker. Can you believe this lovely lady is making so much magic at only 24?! Have a look at her designs (here) because a leather cuff is a must for a summer arm party! Definitely on the Christmas list. LOVE.

Fine and Sunny

So it's now summer in Australia! Although the other day while shopping it was anything but 'Fine & Sunny'. More like windy & windy (as you can see in these photos!)

This "Mahalo" tee is by Fine & Sunny and was gifted to me by the lovely team at The Wonderland. 'So long and Mahalo' were the last written words of Hunter S. Thompson before his death. This design inspiration makes me love this tee even more and so my outfit was inspired by Hunter's eclectic style with this clashing skirt.

I am already so excited for christmas and I've already started a list including a lovely, thin gold ring I found yesterday at an antique jewellery store. What are you guys getting??

Luke has always been a Status fan and now I also have one to call my own!

I love the bright lime colour that is right on trend and makes me think of summer.

Luke has had his wallet for quite a while now and it is still in top form with some always-welcome-wear that we all love about real leather.

The Dakota is perfect for me as I always need to be organised with a section for cards, coins and a photo section never goes astray. Another in the Status Anxiety collection is a cute 'Phoebe' purse (check it).

Botanica Moss

I've always been a fan of Sydney label Secret Squirrel (remember this post?) and ever since I laid my eyes on the Botanica summer collection I have been dazed by this amazing digital print. Since then this dress has been calling my name and I'm so happy to finally call it my own.

These photos are probably some of my favourite posted on Spin Dizzy Fall so far. Not only does it feature some of my favourite Australian labels but I swear the moss on this rock wall and the print of the dress makes me feel like part of the landscape.

Braided Chains

A part of me is a little happy about this chilly, rainy, Sydney weather that has appeared on the edge of spring because I get to wear my new favourite jumper! I found this Marnie Skillings jumper on My Clothes Horse which is the online store run by the lovely team behind Breakfast With Audrey and I've worn it both days since I got my hands on it.

Yesterday I wore this outfit to interning and the tank by Lola vs Harper was perfect since I wasn't in the mood to wear anything high-waisted and my jumper was a little too cropped to risk the wind and rain. Check out that awesome drape business in the back.

The rain has been nice but I want to spend the weekend at the beach so let the anti-rain-dance begin now!

Samantha Wills Photoshoot on Breakfast With Audrey

Two weeks ago I was invited by the lovely Breakfast With Audrey girls, Tash and Pip, to be involved in a whimsical photo shoot for their Samantha Wills giveaway!

We set off into Centennial Park in Sydney with darling photographer Nicole Cooper of blog Confident Liar. We each styled our own outfits with a vintage twist and teamed them with stunning jewellery from Samantha Wills.

I had the most amazing time skipping around in the bright red tutu skirt from State of Georgia! Also check out that huge collar necklace by Samantha Wills in the first photo. Wowza! is all I have to say about that.

As you know I was the guest editor for Breakfast With Audrey last month so the group shots all in white made me feel like part of the team. I had the best time with these girls that day even if it was 30 degrees!

Ever since I finished reading The Beach a couple of weeks ago I just can't seem to get it out of my head. These outfits weren't really inspired by the book but more reminded me of it and to me just represent an atmosphere of summer and the care-free spirit that often comes with the change in season.

I've also been sunburnt for a couple of days so any excuse not to wear tight clothing suits me fine. I'm in love with the knitted shorts from Somdays Lovin. So much that I think I'll need a back up pair. They remind me 70s beach style.

Back to The Beach, I do still like the film and totally recommend it if you haven't seen it but the book just gives so much more... but also less. Just read that too. Either way Francoise (seen below) is the ultimate summer inspiration character which reminds me to relax more (if that's possible) and that you don't need much to enjoy yourself in summer. I'm also partial to Leo so BAM there he is too.

We were treated to sweets & pre-lunch bubbly while Sarah Gale gave us the low-down on The Iconic and what to expect in the near future.

I'm really looking forward to seeing new things from the Iconic and after a behind the scenes tour of their office I am sure there are excellent plans in the making.

My favourite item presented on the day were the bright green slippers (above).

I am so eager to get my hands on some loafers or slippers for the summer that I've been asking everyone I see with them where they got them from.

It was also a chance to wear my (new) name necklace. I've never had a name necklace and this is a little more exciting than a coke with my name on it!

On monday night I made my way into the city to attend the bloggers preview of the AW12 collection for Tony Bianco. Little did I know that the man himself, Anthony Bianco would be there to welcome us along with the lovely Jasmin from Friend In Fashion.

When it comes to shoes I seem to be drawn to a lot of black. Practicality or just the industry creeping into my style decisions? Either way I loved the collection because for many of bright or printed design there was a sleek black alternative. Though don't get me wrong, I love the bright heels and snakeskin print too! But take a look at those black heels with the gold detail platform (Yes please!) The dark forest green designs also took my fancy.

Also note the whole new range of boots with all different sized heel and platforms. Being a boot kind of person all the different designs made my eyes water (Yes in a good I-want-I-want kind of way.)

Summer has hit us in full force so it's time to pull out my extensive shorts collection and mini skirts. My mum bought this recycle design clutch overseas. It's so quirky AND has an elephant on it!

If you're a long time reader you'll know I love candles and this is my latest. Fig, Cassis and Mandarin by Palm Beach which smells like heaven. Hunky Dory +BEHIND THE SCENES MHQ+

You may have gathered from my tweets that I've been interning at Market HQ for the past couple of weeks. I was lucky enough to be sent along to assist on their latest campaign.

I was able to take some behind the scenes photos to show because how could you not with this amazing setting!

I've been to the Hunky Dory social club before but I missed out on the spectacle in the bathroom last time. Nothing funky kids, just this crazy mirror mosaic wall!

The whole team are awesome and it was fun just being able to help out and see the shoot unfolding from behind the scenes.

Oh honey, I'm home!

Yes, I've been MIA but now I've finished my Uni exams for the year I don't have much else holding me back from being free as a bird!

Me and Luke took these photos as part of the Tony Bianco Summer Style Off. The theme was set as 'Summer' and when I think summer I think going to the beach everyday with the windows down in Luke's car. So, hello and meet the old "Lambo". This car has been in Luke's possession almost as long as we've been together so it feels like my car too and I love it!

I love this sheer blouse by Steele. So much that I wore it to Uni the next day with a pair of shorts and boots (two days in a row! Gasp, fashion suicide!)

My rose gold obsession is continuously increasing. I think I'm also growing one for patent leather. I scored this vintage purse at vinnies for $5. I couldn't resist!

BEAUTY REVIEW: Eyebrows

Please welcome my very first beauty review on Spin Dizzy Fall!

I have recently been much more interested in make-up ( I must be growing up or something! God forbid!) and if you follow me on twitter you'll know I've been asking for make-up tips from fellow bloggers and followers.

Ever since I had my make-up done for the Market HQ campaign I've been wanting to try eyebrow make-up and shaping so this product was perfect for a review!

The product is Beauty Express for Brows and Eyes by Anastasia Beverly Hills (in brunette).

I've taken step-by-step photos of this awesome little kit which includes it's own steps so it's easier to get your brows perfect each time you do them.

Below: Before photo. My brows are naturally quite thin. Luckily there's a stencil for that!

ABSOLUT MODE

Not too long ago I attended the launch of Absolut Vodka MODE edition in Darlinghurst.

Not only were the cocktails completely amazing but so was the company! I was joined by fellow Mode edition bloggers Sara and Rachel plus had a few drinks with the lovely Hannah, Xiaohan (who was shooting the event for Vogue - See the snaps from the night here) and Yvan from facehunter.

It was great to see people I hadn't seen since fashion week plus meet with the lovely ladies from Absolut and Vogue who were behind the blogger collaborations. A big shout out to the lovely Jacqui for making us feel so welcome.

easy way out

I was always hesitant about fishtail skirts or split skirts but what I didn't know was that you feel like a freakin' dark princess or something when you're wearing them. I am now in love with this dress with double splits after walking around town with my skirt blowing in the breeze behind me. Along with the lace bodice and the neckline I predict this is going to be my go-to summer nights dress! Also already giving these boots and my new House of Harlow ring a work out this weekend.

These photos were taken before going out to dinner with friends on friday. (That day I got sunburnt at the beach. YES, I said the BEACH! Welcoming summer with open arms!)

Saturday Sangria

On saturday I met up with a bunch of lovely sydney bloggers for lunch and a couple sneaky jugs of white wine sangria at The Winery in Surry Hills. In my company were Brooke from re:new, Lauren from YourOnlyBlackSwan, Jess from JessLovesFred, Thu from OriginalNumber, Joelyne from TheSydneyGirl and Aprilia from Aprilia Love. Saturday marked the beginning of sunny days in the lead up to summer and it was almost hot sitting in the sun with this wicked bunch.

Meet Market for MHQ

Finally, I can share the photoshoot I was in for Market HQ a couple of weeks ago!

The 'Meet Market' went live last night and I am already thinking up friends I can sign up for the competition because the guys are all lovely!

This is the second shoot that I've had my hair put up (not common for me as I usually wear it out) but this time I actually loved it and tried to keep all the crimped height on top for a day or so after. I love the makeup and the styling was genius! Everyone at MHQ were really lovely so it was a fun experience!

Thanks to everyone who has already sent me such sweet feedback about it. Sometimes I can't believe I get to do stuff like this by being a blogger so thank you to everyone who reads SPIN DIZZY FALL.

Sequin Raindrops

On saturday I went to a good friend's engagement party. Seriously, it is all happening this spring. So much to do! I feel like this is the busiest time in my whole life. I think I like it but I probably don't appreciate it as much as I will when looking back. Isn't that always what happens though?

I love these Lola vs Harper sequin shorts and I was wearing them around the house when I first got them even before I got to wear them out and take photos. They are the killer piece, pair with anything I say!

In other news, I'm blogging this post from University. That's a first! I feel like a real student. I don't really know why because blogging has nothing to do with uni work but hey it sure is more fun!

Yesterday I went for lunch down near the beach. My main meal wasn't great but the bread/meat/dip platter was amazing (YUM!) and I actually like looking out at the ocean on a cloudy day.

Yesterday I visited the team at The Wonderland to take some behind the scenes photos at the new Mad Love shoot (photos to come next month!)

I wore this outfit that I styled to celebrate the Westfield Style Tour with Gok Wan (British stylist - see below) over October. I decided to style an outfit with under $100 with designs from Westfield stores and this is the result!

These awesome Rubi velvet style platforms that I've had my eye on were $40, the tank was cheap as chips from Cotton On and the skirt was on sale for $20 at Dotti.

I love this vintage blazer vest that has been hiding on my clothes rack over winter. The colour is not too pink for me and it's excellent for summer.

There are so many little 'snap' designs and I love these white and gold ones.

I was asked to shoot the new 'Mode Edition' bottle for ABSOLUT Vodka and I decided on a raw look with wet hair and no makeup combined with enough sequins to make your head spin to contrast with the sleek, neat design of the bottle.

In the mid 80s ABSOLUT was the first major alcohol brand to collaborate with fashion designers which in my opinion is a genius match!

The limited edition bottle, made up of 16 facets wrapped with a blue silk label, will be available in Australia as of October and perfect for making summer cocktails. Cheers to hot summer nights and ice cold drinks!

Call it what you want

wearing: Dress-I like wolves, vintage boots and belt and my new leather pandora bracelet with '21' charm which was a birthday gift.

On saturday (aka the most windy and rainy night of september) I found myself wearing this amazing dress and running between two different parties up the street from each other.

At first I was scared about this dress getting wet but it showed me it could take it and I had the best time getting completely soaked while running in the rain.

One of those weird, fun nights that seems like it's out of a movie.

A couple of other things this dress is great at that I discovered that night:

-twirling

-using the skirt as a shield when a friend needs to go to the toilet but can't go in front of the other girls in the bathroom

-can be used to expand on your limited dance moves and get fancy

-did I mention twirling? Oh yeah and spinning as well. (see last photo for example)

I actually did a fun photoshoot with the team at Market HQ today so I can't wait to share what it's all about soon!

Grand Manor

Not long ago I attended the wedding of one of my best friends from high school.

We travelled down the coast and into the country side to Robertson where there is an amazing old house (or 'Grand Manor') that was built in the early 1900s and was once a house for monks. It felt like I was in the game Cluedo or something, it had an awesome creepy-beautiful vibe.

The wedding was so beautiful and I included a photo of one of the bridesmaid dresses which was paired with red lips and some amazing red heels.

I wore this dress by Australian label Shilla. I love the subtle print and drawstring design. I matched it with my favourite heels, gold jewellery and this vintage faux fur coat (because it was utterly freezing there!)

Last saturday I celebrated my 21st by seeing family, having a whole bunch of friendlings over for drinks and then jumping off to another friends 21st!

I don't know how I'll ever top my birthday this year because I couldn't have asked for anything more.

I didn't want a big fuss but I still somehow ended up blowing out some candles at the end of the night. Not only did I get the presents seen below (laptop, 1950s typewriter, mimco wallet, bikini, etc) but I also got some amazing clothes, jewellery, homemade cupcakes and a pair of converse all stars.

Thanks to everyone who wished me a happy birthday in emails and on twitter!

Mandy says the designs are "inspired by ancient mythology" and are quite similar to some of her fine art pieces, so I feel like I get to own a special little piece of her artwork!

Last week I visited the brand-spanking-new Seafolly store that has just been launched at Miranda Westfields.

If you follow my posts you'll know I've been obsessing over summer lately and seeing all these amazing summer designs and bikinis just brightened the not so distance future!
The store is so bright and I love the wood detail and the hanging chair!
The new store also stocks the limited edition range of Seafolly designs (which you can see in the amazing front display - above).
My favourite picks would be the adorable floral shorts, the bright green bikini designs and the oversized Seafolly totes.

It's a bit gloomy in sydney right now but Im hoping it will clear up because I'm going on a little over night road trip down the coast tomorrow. (Wooh!)

In other news, it's my birthday next week! I'm usually not so excited for my birthday but I feel like it will be a good one this year. I don't really want that many gifts for it but the presents I think I'm getting are amazing! (Mac Book Pro, mimco wallet, converse all stars, laptop case...I couldn't ask for anything more! Tonight I attended the Camilla show at the MBFF to review it for HP as one of their 'VIBs' (means Very Important Blogger apparently)!

Though for now I wanted to show you the first friend ship bracelet I made. I made them when I was younger and I've been meaning to make a couple for ages but only got around to it on the train rides home from uni during the week.

If you follow me on twitter (here) you'll remember I posted this photo when I was halfway but now its done and I wore it to the show today with a couple other bracelets from an indonesia trip. Even though I should probably be studying on the train rides home I'm hoping to expand the 'party' and have a stack by summer. GENERAL PANTS Behind the Scenes

Not long ago the team at General Pants asked me and Luke if we wanted to be involved in their new campaign 'In With The New'. We seemed to fit into the shoot considering the work we did with them at Splendour and we were their 'newest' contributors/pals.

So here are some behind the scenes shots from the day.

My hair was put up and in braids which was pretty unusual for me as I'm normally seen with my hair down. I was also made to jump which didn't end well because I know I have a terrible (scary!) sports/action/concentration face! Luckily being out of my comfort zone didn't stop me from enjoying myself and taking in what goes on behind the scenes.

Luke got to play with a yoyo in his shots and was awesome of course (one of those kids that's just good at everything!) so I'm looking forward to seeing the final shots!

The collection has covered the key trends for this spring and summer including neon colour tones, detailed lace and even laser cutwork design that fuses 'Hollywood poolside glamour meets Twiggy'.

The girls at Market HQ have read my mind because these are the shades I've been dreaming of!
I'm a big fan of round sunnies and these babies by Mink Pink are the perfect size for my taste and a lovely pattern.

These photos were taken on a little afternoon blogger meet up (more photos to come) and could not be a greater contrast to those taken by the wicked team at MHQ for their latest lookbook. I can't wait till the heat starts creeping back and the smell of spring is in the air!

I found this statement necklace in an opshop mixed in a bag of tangled beads and chains all for $3. I wore this outfit to Uni and took along this sweet tote by Fieldguided that you can get at Molten Store.
Excellent for carrying huge ass textbooks around all day!

seaside brunch

Not long ago, back when sydney had that amazing preview (tease) of spring time weather, I was treated to an amazing meal by the sea.

I haven't always eaten much seafood and I have been wanting to try different seafood dishes so I decided to order the 'pan seared Tasmanian scallops with cauliflower puree, corn & chorizo' (as you can see below). The taste was how I imagined it and everything went so well together that I'd probably order it again! We also had yummy (HOT) bread, some chips and finished it off with some crazy rich desserts. Chai latte and sparkling water is also standard.

I am really looking forward to the warm weather to come, not only because I love the summer and everything that comes with it but also because my 21st is right around the corner (next month!)

MAD LOVE - Behind the scenes. [feat. Anja]

A couple of weeks ago I visited the lovely team at The Wonderland when they shot the new collection 'White Dreams' for label Mad Love designed by Gill Lawrence.
The set was all white and the amazing Anja Konstantinova fit right in with her lovely blonde hair and overall look.

After the shoot Jess (tuula), Nicole (confident liar) and myself grabbed a yummy lunch on Crown St. Although I actually had something off the all-day breakfast menu!

I am back at uni after a nice holiday break filled with sneaky road trips and of course splendour to top it off. It's still so damn cold here in Sydney that this (above) is what I wear to uni and even though I love my suede booties, I can't resist putting on snuggley boots when I get home. Splendour In The Grass - Day 3

The last day of Splendour was wicked.
The spirit of the festival was peaking and the bands on the Sunday were amazing!
After our standard big breakfast we did a little last day exploring.
I had a crazy time taking photos of crowds as there were balls released, fireworks and even a huge mosh of people stampeding down the amphitheatre hill that even outshone the amazing 'Cloud Control' as they played.
Coldplay was my highlight and I have to admit that there was "almost" tears when they played my favourite song.

I still can't believe that I had this experience and actually got to go with the General Pants team and see everything that happens behind the scenes at the festival. Not only that but the team could not have been any cooler and looking back it was so much fun just hanging around with them even when we were just eating breakfast or having after hours drinks.
So a big thank you to the Team for taking me and Luke along and looking out for us like adopted children of the GP family!

On the second day of Splendour in the Grass me and Luke set off to see some bands and check out the pop up stores. We had a photobooth photo taken at the Dr Martens pop up store, had a look at the set up for the Lee cinema (and grab some popcorn) and had some lunch by the Chai Tent.

Also had some fun blowing bubbles before going to see the Jezabels then getting changed in out night (winter) clothes to go sit and watch the night bands.

A Splendid Weekend - Day 1

After highlighting the bands we wanted to see and almost buying some last minute gumboots as the clouds came over, we were ready to set off and take some style photos for Day 1 of Splendour in the Grass.

I found this vest the week before when I went opshopping in my (huge, 5hour) Uni break. It was just a cool piece that lifted the outfit and kept my back warm at night when the grounds froze over!

SPLENDOUR - The Brief

Me and Luke travelled up to Woodfordia to 'Splendour' thinking we would be taking style snaps of funky festival goers. However our actual brief turned out to be so much more fun!
Basically we were given a few tasks each day and had to try and capture the general vibe of the festival by taking some style snaps but also by taking photos that I would normally take as a blogger anyway! Photos of outfits, of bands, of crowds, of cool things/people we saw and the most important photos of all, that a fashion blog cannot live without... food! (I kid! But seriously..yum)

On the first day (thursday; the unofficial start of Splendour) I styled six outfits, 3 for girls and 3 for guys, from the General Pants pop-up store. I tried to create completely different looks for each and of course for different weather conditions. My favourite outfit was actually the last one with the black shorts, the knit and the gumboots (simple but I am in love with the subtle print on the shorts and the gold in the knit).

Oh and if you haven't seen him before on here, this is Luke. Luke has been taking my photos pretty much since we got together years ago so how could I not take him to Splendour with me!

I'm Back!

Actually I have been home from Splendour In The Grass since monday afternoon but since then I have been at university non-stop! Thankfully I have a couple minutes to post this outfit I wore on the plane to Splendour before I have to run out to dinner again.

I actually wore this on the plane but had to change into summer clothes after the Queensland sun decided to pump out the heat after we arrived!

So over the weekend I attended 'Splendour In The Grass' up in Woodfordia. I went with the General Pants Co. team as their on-the-ground roving blogger. It was an unreal experience and I have lots more to share so stick around chums.

Sinking In

Last week I spent my time skiing in the Snowy Mountains with a big group of guys and a couple girlfriends thrown in. The weather was terrible but oh fun was had and in the end the weather didn't matter all that much.

If you follow me on twitter you may already know that I had some exciting news whilst inland and away from home (AND completely out of the loop mind you!)
It was announced that I will be joining the General Pants Co. team at Splendour In The Grass [Music Festival] to be the on-the-ground roving blogger!
I don't think it will fully sink in that I am going until I am actually at the airport, about to board a plane on the way to Woodford! I am going Thursday morning so be sure to follow my twitter to be updated over the weekend about everything Splendour!

Velvet Winter [Museum Day Trip]

Last week (before I got the flu!) we went into the city for a trip to the Museum! I haven't been to the museum since school so I thought it was time to feed my brain!

It was a bit of a windy day so I wore my long velvet skirt and new favourite boots (LOVE THEM! Can't wait to style them with shorts during spring/summer) from Market HQ.

I am going on a little trip down south to the Snowy Mountains tomorrow and will be staying and skiing for a week. I'm hoping the clouds clear up and it's not too chilly! Although I do have a couple posts ready to show you during the week =)

This acrylic necklace is from the lovely Stephanie who sells clear and colourful acrylic jewellery in her online store Sunday Girl Accessories. She also makes custom orders so you can get your name or even your blog name (if it fits of course)!

Also this wicked ruffle skirt is from Glue but I got it online from Westfields Online store. Now they have lots of pieces (dresses, shoes, all the best stuff!) from lots of different stores and brands all online. I paired the skirt with a pale lavender singlet to keep the focus on the amazing structure of the skirt!

p.s- wish me luck in the snow and cold while you're all warm (probably with a cup of tea in your bed right?)

Sunday Afternoon

Last sunday afternoon I met up with Brooke (from RE:NEW) and Lauren (from YOURONLYBLACKSWAN) for afternoon tea, cake and cheese! The best kind of sunday afternoon in my books. Gotta have the cheese.

We went to 'Buzzz Bar' in Newtown where there is like a little sun room/green house where we sat out the back enjoying out tea as the afternoon sun beamed in through the windows.

I wore my crochet scarf that I made myself earlier this year and my new (but vintage!) suede jacket from Thread People. The website Thread People have new sale collections on all the time and have also recently launched a vintage sale section! Have a look at the different sales here. I am loving my jacket as it has been freezing in Sydney lately!

It features runway shows of Australian designers seen from front row to back row to standing right next to the media pit. See the animals that were on the runway and spot the famous front rowers. Plus all your favourite Australian bloggers walking from shows, at after parties and even an incident with a tent roof on a windy day. Check it out =)

Sangria & Sunshine

On the weekend I met up with a couple of my favourite Sydney blogger buddies, Jess (tuula) and Marg (ShineByThree). We had a look around the Surry Hills markets, bumped into the lovely Jesse (WeThePeople) who was on a mission to snap some street style and then we stopped off at The Winery for a cheese board and yummy lychee sangria. The sun was out, I scored a new ring from the markets and spent the day in amazing company!

Young Hollywood

I finally got a chance to wear this black cape that was given to me during my exam period as a little surprise. I thought this minimal colour outfit was a perfect opportunity to bring out this amazing vintage cowhide that I found in an opshop.

In other news, the new stylestalker collection has dropped and these shots have left me a little dazed. After viewing the 'Young Hollywood' collection I am so very excited for spring and summer to come along. Sometimes it's difficult to find great looks for a hot climate but the stylestalker girls have got it covered with sheer pleated fabric and a contrast of colours and patterns.
