On the weekend we went to the sydney flea markets. It was one of the most lovely sunny days since last summer and even though i only left with a few books, veges and a bunch of daisies, I had a great day. (sorry to unload all my joy on you, reader)

While we were there (right before we took this photo actually) a reader came up to me and told me she loved my blog. It was so nice of her but she must have been in a hurry because all i could get out was a 'oh really? cool, uh thankyou!' before she was past me and out of sight!

I took a lot of photos so I thought I'd share all the wonders with you. You can find pretty much anything here with the flower market and food market right next to the good ol' second hand flea market.

Secret Squirrel's summer collection, Deep Blue Sea, is inspired by the mysteries found along the ocean floor. I love this darker view on summer.
The collection has texture, print, pattern, plus a couple dark mustard pieces scattered throughout.

If you've been following me for a while (or at least since last summer) you will know I LOVE my high waisted shorts and these amazing 'Anchor Shorts' have caught me, hook-line-&-sinker!

I just hope my hips and these babies get along nicely over summer!

A relaxed winter-to-summer blouse I wore a week ago.
This blouse has a really pointy collar and I like the little cream square pattern.

Yesterday was soooo sunny and hot in sydney and today has been RAIN RAIN RAIN!
I even wore jeans!

But i did get my latest film developed (getting film developed always brightens a day!) so I shall share some with you during the week =)

I wore this to IKEA the other day. I ended up with heaps of new stuff (pillows, shelves, etc) and I've updated my room for summer and i love it.
(below is a picture of one of my newly found vintage cameras now hanging next to my Polaroid)

I know what your thinking, 'those boots again?'
Well, oh dear sorry, but i don't care because i love them!
I also have another two outfit posts to do featuring them too.
(I also just found out they look just like the new madwell ones, so there!)

Today was actually sunny! I know! Sunny in spring! in Australia! what are the odds? (note this sarcasm is fully directed at whoever has been sending the rain clouds over my place).

lately the weather here in sydney has been mimicking my grey nails.

As soon as the summer sun comes out i'll be changing them to a bright red

I wore this on a little road trip down to a coastline pub on a cliff for lunch. Luckily the weather actually held out for a while and we were able to sit on the lawn and eat our fish and chips.

Can you tell I like these socks and boots combo? I've been wearing them a bit lately

(I'm actually surrounded by all the denim jeans i've collected over winter. I should really start cutting some into shorts but its always hard cutting up vintage clothes!)

Yesterday after a quick shopping trip with luke I ended up with three discounted rimmel nail polish, new eyeliner, a lace back tee and an amazing new blue lace dress (everything came to under $40!)

So happy me toddled off home to sit in the sunshine for a couple hours or so with some of my favourites

I have this tumblr now
I've had it for a bit now to follow blogs but I have just decided to sometimes post things

road tripped

I've just gotten back from an extended weekend away.

I am in complete holiday mode.

I've spent the last fortnight attending tanning sessions, eating sushi, reading, playing some guitar and generally doing squat-zip-zero and not caring about anything.

It seems that i now believe its 'summer time' even though its not.

but lets face it, if you've been able to capture that "its summer, i can do what ever i want" mindset during spring you've got some happy days ahead

Took some quick snaps in front of this amazing yellow canola field. I found these shorts in my wardrobe. Yes i said FOUND! It's like someone planted them there because i have never seen them before in my life but they are just what i wanted and perfect! Loose, folded cuff and comfy. (although they are a biiiiiit bunched up in these photos from being in the car all day!)

Some flowers that i bought last week. I'm happy to say they survived while i was away and are still brightening my days
